DAT Technology Co., Ltd. (DAT) organized a ceremony to inaugurate and hand over the sponsored solar street lighting project in Bong Lai hamlet

This is the next ‘green project’ sponsored by DAT in 2022, helping local residents experience the effectiveness of solar street lights, enhancing the quality of rural traffic lighting, and spreading a positive message about environmental protection.

The road passing through Tổ 1 and Tổ 2 in Bong Lai hamlet is one of the important routes leading to residential areas with a high density of residents. However, due to difficulties in installation and connecting power lines, this section has not been adequately invested in a systematic street lighting system, resulting in inconvenience and safety risks during nighttime travel. Therefore, the local authorities have always wanted to improve the street lighting system here to enhance the quality of traffic lighting and create a new rural image.

Understanding the concerns of the residents in Bong Lai hamlet, DAT decided to sponsor a solar street lighting system in collaboration with the local authorities to implement an intelligent lighting project along the 1.8 km road leading to Tổ 1 and Tổ 2 in Bong Lai hamlet.

Accordingly, DAT sponsored 51 Sokoyo solar street light poles, including SOLO 15W, TECO 20W, and CONCO 80W models, along with various equipment and materials, designing the project layout and coordinating its execution. The total estimated cost for the entire project is over 650 million VND, with installation scheduled for July 2022 with full consent and support from the local authorities.

The solar street lighting project spreads the practical benefits of green energy

To ensure high economic efficiency and stable operation, meeting the brightness and standards required by the Ministry of Construction, DAT used Sokoyo solar street lights that meet the ‘Standard of Quality’, possessing superior advantages in design, technical specifications, with full test reports of the lights and LED chips, and certified with CE, RoHS, IEC, ISO… successfully applied in many smart lighting projects in Vietnam.

After a period of implementation and evaluation of safety and effectiveness, the project was officially inaugurated and handed over on August 19th, 2022.

During the inauguration and handover ceremony, Mr. Tieu Van Dat – General Director of DAT – shared: ‘In parallel with our business activities developing automation and renewable energy sectors, DAT always directs towards the community through many voluntary activities, sponsoring solar power systems, and solar street lighting projects to spread the practical benefits of green energy throughout provinces and cities nationwide. Seeing many roads in Bong Lai hamlet illuminated by solar street lights, making nighttime travel more convenient and safer for residents, DAT is very pleased to sponsor and complete the project as expected, achieving high appreciation from the local authorities and residents in the area.’

With the desire to ‘Illuminate every road with solar energy’, enhancing the quality of rural and urban traffic lighting, DAT will continue to maintain and sponsor more projects in the future. At the same time, we will accompany the Government in realizing the commitment to achieve ‘Net Zero’ emissions by 2050 through renewable energy applications, building a sustainable green future.

The Bong Lai solar street lighting project operates fully automatically, without the need to connect to the power grid, avoiding electrical hazards, explosions, and avoiding costs for wiring, road digging, and maintenance. It is expected that each year, the system will save 100% of electricity used, equivalent to 17,520 kWh, reducing emissions by over 14,081 kg CO2, contributing to creating a bright, green, clean, beautiful, and safe rural landscape, effectively fulfilling the criteria for building new rural areas and reducing the burden on the national electricity grid.
