DAT Group collaborates on scientific research with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Bach Khoa University)

On March 8, 2023, the signing ceremony for scientific research cooperation between DAT Group and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (Bach Khoa University) opened up an effective direction for high-quality human resource training and practical application of new solutions and technologies in the market to serve the community.

Mr. Tieu Van Dat, CEO of DAT Group, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Loc, Head of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation.

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is one of the oldest and largest faculties at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology. It boasts a talented faculty and student body and is the cradle for training core engineers in Vietnam. Annual scientific and technical research projects are conducted with creativity and high applicability.

Meanwhile, DAT Group is a leading provider of industrial automation and renewable energy solutions in Vietnam, with a comprehensive ecosystem covering culture, strategy, personnel, solutions, services, technology, and supply capacity, along with substantial investment in research and development activities.

Through the cooperation agreement and leveraging each other’s strengths, DAT Group will support scientific research and the training of engineers and researchers from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology’s Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in fields such as Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, and Renewable Energy with practical activities. Specifically, DAT Group will collaborate with the university to organize study tours, internships, and supervise graduation theses for students; sponsor demo models (integrated with PLC, servo, frequency converters, motors, etc.) for the Control Engineering and Mechatronics sectors. Additionally, DAT Group will provide access to solution demonstration centers, research and technology centers, and equipment for research scholars to refine their products and research solutions.

Following the win-win principle, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, will transfer research outcomes from collaborative projects to DAT Group, aligning with the company’s operational sectors. With its strong infrastructure, experience, and existing market presence, DAT Group will facilitate conditions for Bach Khoa students to complete their projects and commercialize research results for practical applications, meeting societal needs.

During the signing ceremony, Assoc. Creating conditions and promoting the transfer and application of new scientific and technological advancements is our mission.
