DAT sponsors a solar streetlight project in Lam Dong
On August 19, 2022, DAT Engineering Co., Ltd. (DAT) held the inauguration and handover ceremony for the sponsored solar streetlight project in Bong Lai Hamlet, Duc Trong District, Lam Dong Province to the local authorities.
This is the next “green project” sponsored by DAT in 2022, helping residents experience the effectiveness of solar streetlights, improving the quality of rural traffic lighting, and spreading positive environmental protection messages.
The road passing through Groups 1 and 2 of Bong Lai Hamlet, Hiep Thanh Commune, Duc Trong District, Lam Dong Province, is one of the main roads leading into a residential area, with a high density of people commuting. However, due to difficulties in installation and electrical wiring, the section through Bong Lai Hamlet has not been invested with a proper lighting system, leaving many parts unlit and causing inconvenience and safety issues for travelers. Therefore, the local authorities have always wanted to improve the streetlight system here to enhance the quality of traffic lighting and build the image of a new rural area.
Understanding the concerns of the residents in Bong Lai Hamlet, DAT decided to sponsor the solar streetlight system and collaborated with the local authorities to jointly implement an intelligent lighting project for 1.8 km of road leading into Groups 1 and 2 of Bong Lai Hamlet, Hiep Thanh Commune, Duc Trong District, Lam Dong Province.
Accordingly, DAT sponsored 51 Sokoyo solar streetlights, including SOLO 15W, TECO 20W, CONCO 80W models, along with many materials and equipment, provided design drawings, and coordinated the project’s construction. The total estimated cost for the entire project was over 650 million VND, with installation beginning in July 2022, supported wholeheartedly by the local authorities.
To achieve high economic efficiency, stable operation, and meet brightness requirements and Ministry of Construction standards, DAT used Sokoyo solar streetlights, known for their “quality standards,” featuring superior design, technical specifications, comprehensive test reports for lights and LED chips, and certifications like CE, RoHS, IEC, ISO. These have been successfully applied in many intelligent lighting projects in Vietnam.
After the construction period, safety and efficiency assessments, the project was officially inaugurated and handed over on August 19, 2022, with the participation of local government representatives, DAT leadership, the contractor, various media outlets, and residents of Bong Lai Hamlet.
During the inauguration and handover ceremony, Mr. Tieu Van Dat, General Director of DAT, shared that: “Along with business activities developing the automation and renewable energy sectors, DAT always focuses on the community through various charitable activities, sponsoring solar power systems, and solar streetlight projects to spread the practical benefits of green energy across the country. Seeing many roads in Bong Lai Hamlet lit by solar streetlights, making nighttime travel more convenient and safer for residents, DAT is very pleased to have sponsored and completed the project as expected and received high appreciation from local authorities and residents.
With the desire to “Light up every road with solar streetlights,” improve the quality of rural and urban traffic lighting, DAT will continue to maintain and implement more sponsored projects in the future. At the same time, we will accompany the government in realizing the goal of net-zero emissions by 2050, as committed by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at the COP26 Conference on November 1, 2021, through renewable energy applications and building a sustainable green future.”
The Bong Lai streetlight project operates completely automatically, without connecting to the power grid, avoiding the risks of electric shock, fire, and explosion, and saving costs for wiring, road excavation, and maintenance. All Sokoyo solar streetlights will be warranted by DAT for three years, and the lamp posts will be warranted for one year from the project’s acceptance date. It is estimated that each year, the system will save 100% of electricity consumption, equivalent to 17,520 kWh of electricity, reducing emissions by over 14,088 kg of CO2, building a bright, green, clean, beautiful, and safe rural landscape, effectively contributing to the new rural development criteria and reducing the load on the national power grid.
We believe that in the future, DAT will accompany and sponsor more green energy projects, continuing our pioneering mission to create an ecosystem that enhances efficiency, brings optimal value to customers and partners, increases social responsibility, and positively contributes to the community.
