DIENDANDOANHNGHIEP.VN – On August 19, 2022, DAT Company Limited (DAT) handed over a solar street lighting project to Bong Lai hamlet, Duc Trong district, Lam Dong province.

This is the next ‘green project’ sponsored by DAT in 2022, helping residents experience the efficiency of solar street lights, improving the quality of rural traffic lighting, and spreading a positive environmental protection message.

The road passing through Groups 1 and 2 of Bong Lai hamlet, Hiep Thanh commune, Duc Trong district, Lam Dong province, is one of the important routes leading to residential areas with a fairly dense population. However, due to difficulties in installation and wiring to the power grid, this road section through Bong Lai hamlet has not been properly invested in lighting systems, with many dark spots causing inconvenience and safety hazards for traffic. Therefore, the local authorities always aim to improve the street lighting system here to enhance the quality of rural traffic lighting and build a new rural image.

Understanding this need, DAT decided to sponsor a solar street lighting system, collaborating with the local authorities to jointly implement an intelligent lighting project for a 1.8 km road to Groups 1 and 2 of Bong Lai hamlet, Hiep Thanh commune, Duc Trong district, Lam Dong province.

Accordingly, DAT sponsored 51 Sokoyo solar street light poles, including SOLO 15W, TECO 20W, CONCO 80W lights, along with various equipment and materials, design drawings, and project coordination. The total estimated project cost exceeds 650 million VND, implemented and installed by DAT in July 2022 with full support and approval from the local authorities.

To ensure high economic efficiency, stable operation, and compliance with brightness and standards set by the Ministry of Construction, DAT used Sokoyo solar lights that meet quality standards, featuring superior design, technical specifications, complete light and LED chip test reports, and certifications such as CE, RoHS, IEC, ISO… successfully applied in many smart lighting projects across Vietnam.

After the construction and safety evaluation period, the project was officially inaugurated and handed over on August 19, 2022, with the participation of representatives from the local authorities of Hiep Thanh commune, Duc Trong district, DAT’s leadership, representatives from the construction contractor, along with several media outlets and local residents living and working in Bong Lai hamlet.

Seeing many roads in Bong Lai hamlet lit up by solar lights, making it more convenient and safe for residents to travel at night, DAT is delighted to have sponsored and completed the project as expected, receiving high praise from the local authorities and residents in the area.

The Bong Lai street lighting project operates fully automatically, without the need to connect to the power grid, eliminating electrical hazards, fires, explosions, and avoiding costs of wiring, road excavation, and maintenance. It is expected that each year, the system will save 100% of the electricity used, equivalent to 1,503 kWh, reducing emissions by more than 1,209 kg of CO2, contributing to the creation of a bright, green, clean, beautiful, and safe rural landscape, actively implementing the criteria for building a new rural area and reducing the load on the national electricity grid.
