Vnautomate – DAT sponsors solar street lights, improving traffic lighting quality in Lam Dong

On August 19, 2022, DAT Company Limited (DAT) organized a ceremony to inaugurate and hand over the solar street lighting project sponsored in Bong Lai Hamlet, Duc Trong District, Lam Dong Province to the local authorities. This is another “green project” DAT has sponsored in 2022, enabling residents to experience the efficiency of solar lighting, enhancing the quality of rural traffic lighting, and spreading a positive message of environmental protection.

The road passing through neighborhoods 1 and 2 in Bong Lai Hamlet, Hiep Thanh Commune, Duc Trong District, Lam Dong Province, is one of the important routes leading to residential areas, with a dense population movement. However, due to difficulties in installation and connecting to the power grid, this section of the road through Bong Lai Hamlet has not been systematically invested in lighting systems, causing inconvenience and safety concerns during travel. Therefore, the local government has always aimed to improve the street lighting system here to enhance the quality of rural traffic lighting and create a new rural image.

During the implementation phase, DAT sponsored 51 Sokoyo solar street light poles, including SOLO 15W, TECO 20W, and CONCO 80W models, along with various equipment and materials, design drawings, and project execution coordination. The total estimated cost for the entire project exceeded 650 million VND, with installation starting in July 2022 with full cooperation and support from the local authorities.

To ensure high economic efficiency and stable operation of the project, meeting brightness requirements and standards set by the Ministry of Construction, DAT used Sokoyo solar lights known for their “Quality Standard”, possessing superior advantages in design, technical specifications, complete test reports of lights and LED chips, and certifications such as CE, RoHS, IEC, ISO,… successfully applied in many smart lighting projects in Vietnam.

During the inauguration and handover ceremony, Mr. Tieu Van Dat – CEO of DAT shared: “Parallel to the business activities in developing the automation and renewable energy sectors, DAT always focuses on the community through many voluntary activities, sponsoring solar power systems, and solar street lighting projects to spread the practical benefits of green energy throughout provinces and cities nationwide. Seeing many roads in Bong Lai Hamlet illuminated by solar lights, making it more convenient and safe for residents to travel at night, DAT is delighted to have sponsored and successfully completed the project according to expectations and goals, receiving high praise from the local government and residents in the area.”

With the desire to “Illuminate every road with solar lights”, improving the quality of rural and urban traffic lighting, DAT will continue to maintain and sponsor more projects in the future. At the same time, DAT will accompany the Government in achieving the target of net zero emissions by 2050 after Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh committed at the COP26 conference on November 1, 2021, through renewable energy projects, building a sustainable green future.

The Bong Lai solar street lighting project operates fully automatically, without the need for grid connection, posing no risk of electric shock, fire, and incurring no costs for wiring, road excavation, or maintenance. All Sokoyo solar lights sponsored by DAT are warranted for 3 years, and the lamp poles are warranted for 1 year from the project acceptance date. It is estimated that each year, the system will save 100% of electricity consumption, equivalent to 17,520 kWh, reduce emissions by more than 14,088 kg CO2, build a bright, green, clean, beautiful, and safe rural landscape, contributing effectively to the criteria for building new rural areas and reducing the burden on the national electricity grid.

DAT believes that in the near future, it will continue to accompany and sponsor many more green energy projects, continuing its pioneering mission to enhance the efficiency of the ecosystem, bringing optimal value to customers, partners, enhancing social responsibility, and making positive contributions to the community.
