DAT Group unveils a new logo, reaffirming its vision for community development
DAT Group introduces a new logo, marking a transformative step and reaffirming its vision for development in the next phase. Effective from April 3, 2023, DAT Group officially changes its brand identity.
With over 17 years of establishment and growth, DAT Group is recognized as a leading distributor of equipment, developer of solutions, and provider of services in Vietnam’s industrial automation and renewable energy sectors.
Initially crafted by the founder and CEO, Mr. Tieu Van Dat, the original DAT Group logo symbolized the company’s business domains and enduring operational principles.
The acronym “DAT” represents Drive, Automation, and Technology. Within the letter “D,” an orange swirl embodies a motor control axis in constant upward motion, signifying dynamic creativity and the aspiration for prosperity. The centrally placed dot inside the circle signifies unity and collective effort among all DAT individuals towards a shared goal of creating a distinct ecosystem that enhances efficiency. This imagery also evokes the perpetual energy of the sun.
Orange swirl and dot in the DAT Group logo
The white swirl encircling the central dot resembles a nurturing pair of hands cradling the globe when viewed in negative space. The enclosed loops suggest continuity and resilience towards survival. Notably, the lower edge of the orange swirl expands towards the central dot, conveying gratitude towards Earth, humanity, and the social community who have consistently supported DAT Group. DAT Group is committed to connecting, collaborating, sharing, and actively contributing to the community and society.
The new logo of DAT Group
In terms of color, the dominant blue in the DAT Group logo represents the sky of trust, hope, and an expansive universe without limits. Meanwhile, the orange color perfectly reimagines the image of the sun, warming the sky’s rays and illuminating the universe. Together, they create a perfect balance of yin and yang for the DAT Group logo, an enduring, sustainable ecosystem.
With many distinctive features that set it apart from any other brand identity in the market, the new DAT Group logo retains the core values and distinctive characteristics of the old logo. However, it undergoes significant adjustments to align with DAT Group’s new development direction.
Mr. Tieu Van Dat, CEO of DAT Group, shared: “The launch of the new brand identity logo marks the beginning of DAT Group’s strong reform strategies to better meet the needs of the Vietnamese market in the industrial automation and renewable energy sectors. The logo change in this phase also symbolizes the restructuring of the system, marking the transformation into a technology corporation by DAT Group, aiming to expand the ecosystem to increase efficiency for customers, partners, and contribute more value to the community and society. The new logo continues to preserve and promote the core values that have shaped the DAT Group brand in the minds of customers and partners. However, it will be more flexible, more artistic, and more proud.”
Thus, the new DAT Group logo balances the internal component proportions. The three letters “DAT” are combined in a golden ratio, with the apex of the letter “A” as the center. This makes it easy to install and position the DAT Group logo in any space. Another standout feature is that the new logo is sleeker, requiring less ink when printed, thus contributing more to environmental protection and benefiting the community.
