DAT’S team building 2020: Unforgettable Journeys, Packed with DATERS’ Pride
Every year at DAT, there are team-building trips combined with retreats for all company employees. However, due to the complex developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Board of Directors decided that each Department would plan their trips in July when the pandemic situation is well controlled, ensuring criteria like DAT’s youthful energy, safe enjoyment, and creative freedom.
For many, team-building trips are often opportunities to strengthen team cohesion, teamwork spirit, and bring all members closer together. But the 2020 team-building journey of the DAT family holds a different significance.
It’s about the value of a truly enjoyable and relaxing vacation after stressful work hours; it’s a meaningful time to strengthen internal bonds within each Department; it’s also valuable lessons for DATers to plan for themselves, each contributing ideas to make the trip more enjoyable and complete.
Each Department has the autonomy to decide their travel destinations, create their itineraries, convey messages that reflect the unique personality and characteristics of each Department, and organize fun and exciting group activities.
For instance, while the Sales, Accounting, Engineering, and Marketing Departments chose the pristine beaches and windy landscapes of Vung Tau, Oceanami Resort Long Hai, and the May Lake tourist area, the DAT branch in Can Tho chose the eco-tourism area of Ong De, Phong Dien District, immersing themselves in the cool green garden space with lively folk games. Meanwhile, members of the DAT branch in Hanoi opted for a resort retreat at the peaceful and romantic Rose Villa in Ba Vi.
Alternatively, warmer moments with lively dinners filled with joy and laughter from the HR and IT departments, bonding over life stories, sharing work and life struggles to understand, love, and connect more deeply with each other.
Although the team-building trips were organized at different locations and times, with different games and activities, these differences did not prevent us from being a strong, cohesive team. Each Department is like a small family, united in creating a large, energetic, and youthful DAT family.
DAT understands that each employee is a crucial link in bringing success to an organization’s sustainable development. Therefore, the value ecosystem that DAT builds always emphasizes the factor of the team, creating a friendly, open, collaborative working environment for mutual development, contributing to creating unique value for DAT. These team-building trips are opportunities for DATers to enjoy themselves, recharge positive energy, enhance bonding between employees and the company, and keep igniting the flames of enthusiasm and the DAT spirit.
