Continuously conquering new positions in his career, Technical Director Vo Van Bang remains vigilant, adhering to his belief that by constantly challenging himself, life becomes more interesting and yields great values for himself and those around him. On October 3rd, 2019, Bang marked a new milestone in his 13-year journey with DAT by receiving an MBA degree from UBIS University (Switzerland).

In 2007, Vo Van Bang graduated from the University of Technology and officially joined DAT as an Automation Engineer. He was among the early members of DAT since its inception. While many of his peers changed several workplaces searching for the right environment, Bang firmly believed in DAT’s “Human – Karma” philosophy and the strategic vision of the Board of Directors. This belief swiftly integrated him into the company’s operations, where he worked diligently and wholeheartedly.

Reflecting on his early career choices, Bang recalled, “Despite attractive opportunities in larger companies with lucrative salaries, I chose to stay with DAT because the company’s values offer more than monetary benefits. It’s about a culture of sharing knowledge openly, fostering personal growth daily; it’s the chance to engage with various manufacturing technologies across many plants. Above all, it’s about a business philosophy that prioritizes customer benefits and places employees’ prosperity as our guiding principles.”

With dedication and a thirst for innovation, the young engineer excelled to become the Head of Technical Department in 2010, just three years after joining DAT. According to Bang, his achievements stemmed not only from personal competence but also from DAT’s culture of fair recognition and evaluation, ensuring the utmost equity for every individual.

“Not everyone finds their strength in their chosen profession, but if you decide to pursue a career, why not turn it into a passion? At DAT, I’ve been provided with every opportunity to leverage my strengths and the inspiration to passionately pursue learning. Gradually, I feel less like I’m working and more like I’m enjoying the thrill of challenges. The knowledge I’ve gained creates value not just for myself but also for others.”

In his expanded role, Bang oversees the development of design departments, applications, and technical service warranties for elevator control and solar energy fields, besides automation. He spearheaded numerous campaigns and played a pivotal role in successful projects such as the medium-voltage inverters for Nam Thuan Steel Plant, rotary knife control solutions, and elevator control solutions. He also established an R&D department in collaboration with INVT Group, resulting in high-efficiency energy-saving products and solutions applied successfully to thousands of domestic customers and partners, elevating DAT’s brand and credibility.

To achieve these accomplishments, Bang spent long hours at the company until 9 p.m., self-studying and researching control technologies. He actively immersed himself in market observations and learned from other successful enterprises. Faced with challenges, Bang’s philosophy was to seek solutions rather than lament, believing that pressure fosters personal growth.

Always valuing his current opportunities and resources, Bang continues to excel in experience, expertise, and effectively manages and develops a team of passionate engineers. In 2015, he was appointed Technical Director of DAT, overseeing over 100 engineers in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Can Tho, contributing effectively to DAT – INVT’s value ecosystem in Vietnam.

Over 14 years, DAT has built a valuable foundation in a special ecosystem that has helped the company maintain its position as a leading supplier, pioneering solutions in the market for Inverters – Automation, Elevator Control, and Solar Energy. Technical expertise is a core factor in DAT’s success today, ensuring satisfaction, trust, and steadfast partnership with over 6,000 business customers nationwide. The capabilities of DAT’s experts have been recognized with numerous prestigious certifications both domestically and internationally, making DAT a leading provider of solutions and services worldwide.

As a key figure in strengthening and developing DAT’s ecosystem, Vo Van Bang does not allow himself to remain stagnant, especially in the fast-paced race of the 4.0 technical revolution. Despite continuous career advancements, Bang believes in ongoing self-improvement and learning.

He shared, “The title is a recognition from the company and a means for me to speak to customers, but for me, it’s not the most important thing. The core is how I can develop vision, grasp new trends, especially in technical fields. If we stick to the old ways for too long, they will become outdated.”

In March 2018, Bang decided to pursue an MBA at UBIS University (Switzerland). Initially facing challenges in managing time and adapting to a 100% English-language commercial program, Bang’s resilience and his approach to work, which had brought him success over the years, helped him complete his studies quickly and effectively. He applied these lessons to contribute to DAT’s sustainable development and enhance the quality of life for the Vietnamese people.

With this determination, Bang continued with his chosen path. After 18 months of dedicated research, study, and successfully defending his thesis before the UBIS Scientific Council, Bang received his MBA degree on October 3rd, 2019.

Achieving his success today, Bang expressed deep gratitude for the company’s attention, the dedicated support from the technical team, and departments at DAT, which provided him immense strength to continuously refine himself and contribute new values to DAT’s future.
